In this class, we will explore the process of learning to relate to our bodies as a partner, a dear friend that we are always working on our relationship with. The cells are extremely malleable, and one can communicate directly with them in a myriad of ways. They will respond, do respond, and then together we can heal the system. The body, the nervous system, and all the cells, literally are waiting constantly for, and are in constant communication. The patterns in our system, whether through trauma, injury, aging, or illness, are not actually set in steel. They are set both in our mind and in fluid tissue that is both always changing and can be directed to change.
Explore how the body /mind obeys the imprint of trauma and injury and the way to create new pathways that can heal.Recently, I was speaking with someone who had suffered all her life from abandonment & neglect in childhood. When I asked her what would need to be healed to make her whole, she said, I can't be healed, this is who I am. Here is an example of the utter identification with the repeated imprint, the diagnosis, using only drugs to control the pain and disassociation, until there is nowhere in the consciousness that can even imagine healing or change being possible.
